Staff Vetting

Staff vetting can dramatically reduce the exposure of you and your family to a branch of crime that can often be extremely serious and stressful.

You install security systems around your home, in your car and even on your home perimeter, so why wouldn’t you wish to feel totally safe and secure with the people you have working in your home?

80% of crime against a family is committed by a member of staff.

Vetting is a specialist subject. Staff vetting helps ensure that your staff – from personal assistants to nannies, housekeepers and chauffeurs – have no ‘baggage’ or record of dishonesty.

According to the role of the proposed staff member, we have the appropriate vetting system to assess their integrity.

Vetting can also help to reduce your exposure to errors and misunderstandings, plus in today’s employment environment remember that the employer is now responsible for conducting checks on an individual’s right to work in the UK.

Case Study

Our client, a well-known insurance company, brought us in to investigate for a titled client of theirs, who had good security systems, including alarm, cameras and locks. He placed an advert for a gardener handyman in the local newsagents, interviewed him without checking his background, gave him the keys to his house, alarm access code and suffered a £30,000 loss within two weeks. The gardener had not been vetted.

Do you really know if everyone who drives your vehicles is qualified to do so? Under the Road Traffic Act 1988, it is an offence: “To use cause or permit another to use a motor vehicle or trailer on a road which might for whatever reason, involve a danger of injury to any person.”

Staff vetting can dramatically reduce the exposure of you and your family to a branch of crime that can often be extremely serious and stressful.

It is something you should not ignore.
